Bizzy Weekend

Darknesssssssss!!!!

Sweet Jebus, Labor Day is nearly on us. We are tossing around a trip to Steamboat Springs for the long weekend.
Last weekend was a busy one, ROCKBARS's one year anniversary on Friday night, me drinking soda and cranberry juice while all around the sweet sweet booze was a flowing. My kidneys and bladder are squeaky clean, and Rick Ross was really friendly when he wasn't getting drunks drunker.

Then we had Uncle Al's birthday (41rst) on Saturday. Lots of food (and lots of booze, for everyone else). The designated driver again, but I feel as though my colon is wintry fresh and my whole family agrees. Heres some snaps...................
Al and Sylvia looking old and tired. SNAP.See above. SNAP.

Sylvia and Audrey, no snap required.

Then Sunday, we hiked up to damn near the Devils Thumb and would have got closer to the top if Enola hadn't started gaining weight as I charged up the mountain, or I am totally out of shape. Regardless, we had to scrabble up and tear down....

since the Rapids had a date with a Beckham-less, Donovon-less, etc-less LA Galaxy. 3-0, smell the finger, you lose!

A couple more of Enolas nose before she turns 3 in Sept.

see you later, the GUYERS

ps check M.I.A.s new one, KALA. Its hawt.

Time, she do erase.

Sorry for the long time gone. Lot to catch up on...the world lost a champion March 29, Martha DePrato Paul, passed on aged 89. Thats Michael grandmother, and her funeral was the day before her daughters Jans one year anniversary of passing. Been awful sad around these parts, but only because we miss them so. Martha won 7 state championships coaching girls sports in Louisiana. Two in Basketball (back to back in 61 and 62), two in softball and two in Track and Field. They named May 11th "Martha Paul" day in Ferriday. She was a genuine tough cookie from the word go. Love you Gammie.

Martha & Jan, this is my Mom and Grandma.

So many pretty flowers.

I flew down for the funeral and the Mississippi was doing a bit of its typical flooding.

But the mudbugs were still biting.

Back to Colorado.....Mothers day hikes are the best.

The Rapids kicked off again somewhere in all this, beating David Beckham to pieces, and we were there as usual, as we have season tickets this year.

Then some family came in from New Yawk to visit family here. We love Patrick and Tommy.

The snugglebuggles.

Finally a damned vacation without a funeral, and back to Louisiana, 1rst off to New Orleans and then to Grand Isle for a week (plus!) of fishing and eating and drinking and swimming.

Some male model we saw on the ferry to Algiers.
